INFOR Wins Two Bead Mill System Contracts for New Materials Projects

INFOR has won a batching and bead mill system tender from an SOE-backed industry leader and a grinding and drying line for a listed circular-economy company.

INFOR has recently secured two major orders in the high-end materials equipment sector: a tender for a batching and bead mill (sand mill) system from an industry leader backed by a central state-owned enterprise, and a grinding and drying system project for the new materials division of a listed company in the circular economy sector.

The two letters of award arrived one after the other, one from a central SOE active in nationally strategic materials and one from a long-established player in the battery recycling chain. They reflect customers' strong recognition of INFOR's process know-how, system integration and delivery capability, and add two significant references to INFOR's portfolio in new energy and advanced powder materials equipment.

The orders come from leading customers in different sectors, yet they point to the same conclusion: at the critical front-end stage of materials processing, more and more top companies now see INFOR's equipment and process expertise as a must-have.

Demand in new energy and advanced powder materials continues to grow, and material producers are expanding capacity and upgrading processes faster than ever. With cost reduction, quality improvement and stable production now the main priorities, wet batching and nano bead milling, the key stages for material consistency, are getting more attention from leading customers.

For the SOE project, the batching and milling section of the customer's new site had to meet three hard requirements at once: high ratio accuracy, low metal contamination and long-term continuous operation. After several rounds of process comparison based on the customer's material characteristics, INFOR's team won the overall evaluation with a complete line built around loss-in-weight batching and LPM vertical nano ceramic bead mills.

The established industry customer entrusted INFOR with its pilot-line equipment not because of unit price, but because of the process knowledge we have built up across lab-scale, pilot and mass-production scale-up. The line connects wet grinding at the front end with drying and forming at the back end and is designed for small batches, many formulations and fast changeovers. The two systems are not designed separately; they form a linked solution worked out backward from the process window of the same material. Material producers are handing their most critical processes to people who truly understand grinding.

INFOR has been steadily working in new energy materials front-end equipment for more than 20 years.

From LFP to sodium-ion cathodes, and from silicon-carbon anodes to solid electrolyte slurries, INFOR has built lab-scale lines and delivered 10,000-ton mass-production lines. Batching must be accurate and milling must be stable. Doing either on its own is not hard; the hard part is running both together at the same pace. That is why many leading companies keep coming back to INFOR.

Pilot lines are familiar ground for INFOR. At our base in Xiangyang, Hubei, we run an open test line where LFP, sodium-ion cathode, silicon-carbon and conductive agent systems have all been tested. We know from experience which slurries tend to coarsen again and which powders tend to stick to the walls during drying. That is why many material producers and listed battery recycling companies put INFOR first on their pilot-line shortlist when validating new systems. We understand individual machines, and even more, the easily overlooked process gaps between them.

Winning this project for an industry leader is no accident. It is the result of countless on-site commissioning sessions, process iterations and customer referrals.

Every letter of award is the start of a new delivery journey.

Winning the trust of both a central SOE and an established industry player once again confirms that INFOR's shift from standalone equipment supplier to global provider of AI-powered intelligent dispersion and grinding systems is being validated by the market.

Next, the project team will run both projects to showcase-project standards, with no compromise from tolerance control to process margin, to ensure each system reaches its design capacity and specifications on the first run.

Going forward, INFOR will keep strengthening its ability to transfer parameters seamlessly from lab to pilot to mass production, so that every gram of new material is ground and dried precisely, and will work with partners across the supply chain to further raise the standing of China's high-end grinding equipment.
