Invitation: Meet INFOR at The Battery Show North America 2026, Booth 6341, Detroit

US-China high-level engagement and North America's storage boom are reshaping the battery market. INFOR invites you to Booth 6341 at The Battery Show North America, 12-15 October 2026, Huntington Place, Detroit.

From 23 to 25 September 2026, President Xi paid a state visit to the United States at the invitation of the US side, his first visit in three years and the second meeting between the two leaders following their summit in Beijing in May this year.

The two sides held in-depth discussions on a "constructive strategic stability relationship" between China and the US and, within a framework of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation, reaffirmed their intention to lengthen the list of cooperation in green energy, artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing and shorten the list of problems. The US business community broadly hopes that strategic communication between the leaders will bring more stable expectations, "once trust is established, everything else becomes easier".

For the new energy industry, the signal is clear: recalibrating great-power relations does not mean decoupling, but moving toward cooperation under rules and local coexistence. With green energy widely seen as a promising area for US-China cooperation, batteries, energy storage and intelligent equipment are moving from "made in China, sold globally" to "built globally, delivered locally". In the eye of the storm, companies with real manufacturing depth and service capability have a better window to enter North America.

The US new energy market: EVs shift gear as storage and local manufacturing accelerate

The keyword for the US new energy market in 2026 is not "boom" but "restructuring".

On one hand, reduced EV subsidies, interest rates and charging infrastructure have slowed passenger car electrification. On the other hand, AI data centres, grid peak shaving, C&I storage and second-life use of retired EV batteries are booming, making energy storage one of the most certain growth poles of North America's battery industry.

More importantly, the US market is being reshaped by policy:

• The IRA and subsequent tax credit rules emphasize domestic manufacturing and supply chain compliance;

• Storage projects are still supported by investment tax credits, but foreign entity rules raise the bar for direct participation by Chinese companies;

• Automakers and battery makers are converting EV battery lines to storage cell and system manufacturing;

• Demand for auditable, localizable and rapidly iterable equipment systems is rising sharply across materials, electrodes, assembly, formation, testing and recycling.

In other words, the US is no longer a market for selling Chinese equipment as is, but one for local delivery using global capability. For intelligent equipment companies this is a challenge, and even more an opportunity.

The Battery Show North America 2026: the bellwether of North America's battery industry

The Battery Show North America is one of the most influential advanced battery and e-mobility technology exhibitions in North America and an important gateway for the global battery supply chain into the US and North American markets.

Event: The Battery Show North America 2026

Dates: 12-15 October 2026

Venue: Huntington Place, Detroit, Michigan, USA

Scale: more than 16,000 engineers, executives and innovators, 1,000+ suppliers, 250+ speakers and 140+ hours of conference education

Coverage: end-to-end, including power batteries, energy storage systems, BMS, materials, manufacturing equipment, testing and recycling, thermal management and EV powertrains

As the heartland of US automotive and powertrain manufacturing, Detroit gives the show an industrial DNA that spans vehicle electrification to energy systems. It is not just a place to see samples but where North American customers evaluate suppliers, validate processes and discuss localized production line solutions.

INFOR's North American path: from equipment exports to local service

In recent years INFOR has steadily increased its investment in the US and North American markets and has set up a North American liaison and service organization in the US. Using regional hubs such as Houston, it handles sales, technical support, spare-parts response and local service. The logic is clear: not just selling equipment but solving customers' questions of how to build the line, how to stabilize the process, how to get fast after-sales support and how to stay compliant.

In North America, INFOR has developed modular equipment solutions for overseas customers covering battery material processing, mixing, slurry preparation, conveying, dosing, automated lines and smart factories. To meet the US market's demanding requirements for dust control, batch consistency, data traceability, line flexibility and local O&M, INFOR has rebuilt its mature experience with large-scale lithium battery equipment in China into a delivery system better suited to North American project-based work.

At the same time, INFOR is advancing:

• English technical documentation and compliance documentation such as FDA/UL/CE;

• Coordination between cross-time-zone remote commissioning and local on-site service;

• Process adaptation for US storage cell, LFP line and electrode manufacturing applications;

• A cooperation network with North American integrators, engineering firms and equipment agents;

With Houston as a hub, an integrated sales-technical-service overseas response system is taking shape. INFOR is not just trying out the US market but localizing with a long-term commitment: only with a local team behind it can a supplier stand the test of a high-barrier market.

Official invitation: INFOR awaits you at Booth 6341 in Detroit this October

From 12 to 15 October 2026, INFOR will exhibit at The Battery Show North America 2026.

Whether you are:

• a battery company planning a North American storage cell line;

• an equipment manager seeking LFP, electrode, slurry or conveying automation;

• an automaker or Tier 1 developing a localized manufacturing plan;

• or a North American engineering integrator looking to partner with a Chinese intelligent equipment company,

INFOR warmly invites you to visit us at:

• Booth 6341

• Huntington Place, Detroit, Michigan, USA

• 12-15 October 2026

At the booth you will see INFOR's core solutions for new energy intelligent equipment:

powder and battery material solutions with more efficient ultrafine grinding, narrower particle size distribution, lower energy consumption, stronger data traceability and better suitability for localized overseas delivery.

A new chapter in US-China new energy is opening, and INFOR is ready to be a Chinese intelligent manufacturing partner at the side of North American customers.
