INFOR at The Battery Show North America 2026 in Detroit

At booth 6341 in Detroit, INFOR presented LPM vertical nano ceramic bead mills and wet grinding line solutions, backed by local service capability in North America.

From 12 to 15 October 2026, The Battery Show North America 2026, the annual flagship event for the North American battery and electric mobility industry, concluded successfully at Huntington Place in Detroit, USA. INFOR presented its LPM Series Vertical Nano Ceramic Bead Mills and wet grinding and dispersion line solutions for battery materials, holding intensive discussions with engineers, cell manufacturers, energy storage integrators, automotive Tier 1 suppliers and North American engineering firms from around the world.

At a time when "domestic manufacturing, supply chain compliance and faster energy storage deployment" define the North American battery industry, INFOR's trip to the US was more than a product showcase. It was a field test of bringing "Chinese high-end grinding equipment + local service capability" to North American customers. What the North American market needs is not Chinese equipment simply shipped over as-is, but global capability delivered locally.

A bellwether for the North American battery industry and a proving ground for Chinese equipment makers

Event: The Battery Show North America 2026

📅 12-15 October 2026

📍 Huntington Place, Detroit, Michigan, USA

This show is not a stage for displaying sample machines and handing out brochures. It is where North American customers evaluate suppliers, validate processes and discuss localized production line solutions.

As one of North America's most influential advanced battery and electric mobility technology shows, this year's event drew 16,000+ engineers, executives and innovators, 1,000+ suppliers, 250+ speakers and 140+ hours of conference sessions, covering the full chain from traction batteries, energy storage systems, BMS and cathode and anode materials to manufacturing equipment, testing and recycling, thermal management and EV powertrains.

For INFOR, the question here was not whether equipment could be sold, but:

Whether Chinese high-end grinding equipment can meet North America's standards for project-based delivery, compliance and demanding operation and maintenance.

Booth 6341: putting sales, technology and service in front of customers

At this year's show, INFOR's booth 6341 became a regular stop for North American battery material companies, energy storage cell makers, engineering integrators and equipment distributors. Over four days, the booth welcomed battery companies planning energy storage cell lines in North America, equipment managers seeking automation for LFP, electrodes, slurry mixing and conveying, automakers and Tier 1 suppliers working on localized manufacturing, and North American engineering integrators looking to partner with Chinese intelligent equipment companies.

The main threads of the on-site discussions were clear:

1. In high-compaction LFP applications, how to balance fineness, crystal integrity and D50 stability;

2. When scaling up new materials such as silicon-carbon anodes, sodium-ion materials and solid-state electrolytes, how to handle high solids, high viscosity, secondary agglomeration and temperature rise;

3. How modular equipment solutions can meet North American projects' high requirements for dust control, data traceability, flexible production lines and local maintenance;

4. Under the IRA and domestic manufacturing rules, how Chinese equipment companies can take part in the North American supply chain through "technology export + local service partners."

INFOR has established a North American liaison and service organization in the US, using regional hubs such as Houston to support sales, technical consultation, spare parts response and on-site service. "Only with a local team backing you up can you pass the test of a high-threshold market." That was the key message INFOR wanted to convey at booth 6341.

For high-end grinding, choose INFOR: material yield is decided at the front end

For North American battery material customers, INFOR focused on its LPM Series Vertical Nano Ceramic Bead Mills and integrated grinding, dispersion and conveying solutions for battery materials:

1) LPM Series Vertical Nano Ceramic Bead Mills (sand mills), covering the full range from 1L to 1000L/2000L

From laboratory trials to large-scale production lines, scale-up follows the same principle, relying not on re-tuning but on reusing the separation structure and media kinematics.

2) Screenless design + special centrifugal separation for clog-free operation

Suited to high-solids, high-viscosity systems, it reduces the impact of screen-cleaning downtime on continuous production and meets North American lines' requirements for minimal downtime, auditability and traceability.

3) Finer, narrower, more stable

Reliable use of 0.05-0.3 mm micro grinding beads delivers a narrower particle size distribution, achieving finer grinding while reducing agglomeration and secondary breakage, so customers reach target fineness without damaging the crystal structure.

4) Low energy consumption, high utilization

With high-efficiency motors and an optimized grinding chamber design, unit energy consumption compares favorably with conventional equipment, and production lines can skip coarse grinding and go straight to fine grinding, lowering equipment configuration and construction costs.

In one sentence:

INFOR doesn't just sell a bead mill to North America. It turns "material yield, energy cost and local maintenance" into an auditable, scalable and deliverable system solution.

The North American show closes, and a new starting point for INFOR's global delivery begins

The Battery Show North America 2026 has ended, but INFOR's North American story is only getting into deeper water. What INFOR gained in Detroit was not just business cards and inquiries, but a clear market judgment:

The North American battery industry is moving from "buying equipment" to "building systems."

Customers want more than competitively priced machines; they want production line capability that is compliant, deliverable, maintainable and scalable.

A new chapter is opening for new energy between China and the US, with rules, markets and localization requirements all changing. Going forward, INFOR will continue to use Houston as its overseas service hub, advance long-term localized service and strive to be a "process partner" on North American customers' production lines.
