World's First LPM-2000L Vertical Bead Mill Ships from INFOR

INFOR has shipped the world's first 2,000 L vertical bead mill, the LPM-2000L, for months of on-site validation, its third first-of-a-kind machine after the LPM-400L and LPM-1000L.

INFOR has reached a historic moment: its in-house LPM-2000L vertical bead mill has been loaded at the Xiangyang plant and is on its way to the customer site. Another flagship in INFOR's large vertical series, it marks the start of on-site validation for the world's first 2,000-litre vertical bead mill, setting a new benchmark for efficient ultrafine grinding in new energy materials and fine chemicals.

From 400 L to 2,000 L: leading the move to larger machines

The LPM-2000L is INFOR's third first-of-a-kind product after the LPM-400L and LPM-1000L, and reflects years of work in vertical grinding technology. Each step up in volume, from 400 L to 1,000 L and now 2,000 L, has required comprehensive advances in structural design, fluid dynamics simulation, seal reliability, cooling efficiency and automatic control. The 2,000 L model greatly increases throughput per batch and significantly lowers specific energy consumption, meeting the large-scale, intensive production needs of leading companies.

Full validation ahead, faster production use

The 2,000 L vertical bead mill will first undergo several months of comprehensive testing at the customer site, covering grinding fineness and particle size distribution with different material systems, temperature rise, continuous operating stability and ease of maintenance. After testing it will join the customer's production line, moving seamlessly from first-of-a-kind to workhorse. INFOR's technical team is already on site to track data and optimize the process throughout.

Market recognition built over time

INFOR has served dozens of leading customers with large vertical bead mill lines, with hundreds of machines in operation across battery cathode and anode materials, ceramic inks, electronic pastes and nano powders. Several well-known companies use INFOR's vertical series as standard for new lines, and repeat orders keep rising, confirmation of INFOR's advantages in grinding efficiency, fineness precision, stability and lifecycle cost.

R&D first, innovation-driven

INFOR treats R&D as the primary engine of its growth. It has an engineering technology research centre, nearly a hundred core patents and R&D spending among the highest in the industry. The LPM-2000L grew from deep insight into customer pain points and sustained work on frontier technology, from slurry uniformity in a larger chamber to vibration control of an extra-long shaft and integration of intelligent maintenance systems, turning the design into a reliable product.

Leading through technology is not a slogan but what we do every day. Shipping the 2,000 L vertical mill is an important step in our large-machine strategy, but not the end. We will continue to focus on ultrafine grinding and launch more innovative products around customer needs to support the industry's green, intelligent transition.

With the LPM-2000L on its way, INFOR has already begun preliminary research on its next-generation model. On the road to becoming a global leader in grinding solutions, INFOR will continue to deepen collaborative innovation with supply-chain partners and advance ultrafine grinding toward greater efficiency, intelligence and sustainability.
